Situation
Velo made exceptional hardware — carbon-frame bikes at a price point that required the digital experience to justify it. Session recordings showed users losing confidence at the payment step, not from friction but because the brand hadn't earned their trust before they got there. The checkout flow was technically functional. The brand was not doing its job.
